Pet of the Week: Lola
Hi, I'm Lola. I am a 1 1/2 year old, Australian Shepherd/Retriever mix, and this is my story. I first arrived at Helping Paws from Kentucky on April 24th of 2022, with my four siblings. I was adopted to a home with two girls about a month later. I was so happy! One of my little human girls was hurt by another dog after they adopted me, and she became scared of me. It makes me so sad because I loved them so much! I wish she understood that I wouldn't hurt her. I was recently returned to HP because of that unfortunate event. I have been waiting for a new home for 51 days. Since being back, they weighed me and I currently weigh about 47 pounds. I am an active girl and never say no to a walk or yard time. I am always excited to go outside and am working on my leash manners. Going pottyoutside is a breeze for me! I also love meeting new big and little humans, and have enjoyed meeting some of the other dogs and puppies here. I also love when I get belly rubs, cuddles, and when the humans throw toys for me; I run as fast as I can to get the toys! Even though it can be fun here, I really am looking forward to my forever home finding me. If you are my new home, call Helping Paws!
