Pet of the Week: Nicholas

Nicholas is a six month old retriever mix looking for his fur-ever home!

Nicholas has been at Helping Paws for 106 days. He is currently around six months old, weighs about 35 lbs, and is a Retriever mix. He came to us from a shelter in Kentucky with his sister who has since been adopted; now it's Nick's turn! He looks like he's a strange old man but we promise he's a puppy. Nicholas may not be the smartest tool in the shed, but he is sure to make you laugh! He is definitely a doofus but it gives him lots of character. Sometimes he may run into something while he's looking in the other direction, or smack himself with a toy while he's whipping it around. We love him for who he is! One of his favorite things to do is go to the yard and wrestle and play with his doggy friends. They play with toys together and flop around together. He's not very fast, but he gives it his best try when it comes to running! His ears flop around and it's the cutest thing!! His awkward teenager body also adds some entertainment. Nick has been working on his manners and is on his way to be the most polite boy. He may not be the smartest, but he has a great nose and will help clean up any forgotten, secret treats on the ground. Call us to meet this silly boy!
