Stevie is a 5-month-old Hound/Aussie mix looking for his fur-ever home!
Hey there ya'll! I'm Stevie, a 5-month-old Hound/Aussie mix who's been living my best life at Helping Paws. I've been here since, well, forever, and I'm now on the hunt for my very own forever home. Let me tell you a bit about myself! I came to HP all the way from Kentucky with my 3 siblings. I'm a sleek, long-legged guy with a mostly black coat that has a secret brown layer underneath, a fancy white-tipped tail, and four white paws that look like I'm always wearing socks. I'm fast-like, really fast. I love racing around the yard, and nothing makes my day like a good game of tug-o-war with my doggie pals.
I've got this girlfriend here named Lahna. She's pretty great, but I have to admit, I like to steal her toys and make her chase me. I always let her catch me in the end, though-gentleman's honor! Speaking of gentle, I'm super careful when there are tiny puppies around. I even lie down nice and still so they can crawl all over me. They think I'm a jungle gym or something! I love going on walks, and I'm pretty good on the leash, except when my super-sniffer nose picks up a really interesting scent-I can't help but pull a little to check it out. I would definitely benefit from some obedience training, hey, I'm just a puppy after all! I'm also still figuring out this whole potty training thing since I've grown up at the shelter, but I'm a smart cookie, and I know I'll get the hang of it soon.
Oh, and everything outside is a toy or snack to me-sticks,leaves,rocks,pine cones-you name it, I want to put it in my mouth! I might be a playful goofball, but I also love belly rubs and snuggling up with the amazing humans here at HP. I'm looking for an active family who is looking for a loving, fun, silly active guy like me. Think you're up for the job? I promise I'll keep you entertained and give you all the cuddles you could ever want!
