Pet of the Week: Abby
Hello world! My name is Abby and I am an almost six month old, female Retriever mix. I currently weigh around 32 pounds. I traveled over eight hours from Kentucky to be here and I have been at the shelter for 102 days. I sadly have spent most of my life here. As you can imagine, I am more than ready for my home to hurry up and find me! Sometimes mostly black puppies are overlooked when compared to other puppies. What people do not know is, I am a super fun and playful girl! I want my own home just like any other pup. I would love a home that can match my puppy energy and enjoys walking frequently. I like toys to keep me busy so I hope they have lots of them! I love when I get to play in the yard with my puppy friend, Waltzer, too. The staff said I am also a very friendly girl. I am working on my leash manners and how to go potty outside. I know "sit!" I am treat/food motivated so that definitely helps with training. I get fed with a slow-feeder/puzzle-feeder to keep my brain working. I have been spayed, microchipped, and am up to date on my vaccines. If you think I could be your new best friend, call Helping Paws!
