Pet of the Week: Steve

Steve is a three-and-a-half month old Lab mix looking for his fur-ever home!

Howdy partner! My name is Steve. I am a three-and-a-half month old Lab mix! I currently weigh just under 20lbs. I had quite the start in life... My mom, eight siblings and I, were confiscated from a drug house in Southern Illinois. After being taken in by a shelter in the same area, we then traveled over five hours to get to Helping Paws. A company called 'Aldridge Electric' gave us a generous donation to take care of us; that is where my name came from! Anyways, I have been here for 69 days (as of 11/21) and am ready for you to take me home. The staff are happy to report that I am "friendly, sweet, and love to play with toys and other puppies!" One of my favorite friends to play with is Teague! He is very fast; I try to tell him to slow down so I can beat him.. he only listens sometimes. I am a smart boy and am getting the hang of going potty outside, too. I also love to get lots of pets and cuddles. I can be a little bashful when meeting new people at times, but that does not last very long. I will be kissing you in no time. If you think I am a good boy and you want to meet me, call HP today!
