Pet of the Week: Matilda

Hey world! My name is Matilda. I am a four month old Aussie mix. My story starts in Southern Illinois, where I was brought to a shelter with my mom and six siblings. We transferred here to Helping Paws in November; I have been here for 70 days! I am the last to be adopted from my family; unfortunately it is not an uncommon occurrence for dark colored dogs to be overlooked. If you are looking for a girl who loves to play, look no further! I am an energetic pup so I am always up for playtime. I am the happiest girl!! My butt is very wiggly because I just can't contain it. Sometimes I like to bark at my toys, but they haven't barked back yet. I was weighed on January 2nd and came in at 23.5lbs. I have a great social life; I love to play with other canines and I enjoy meeting new 'hoomans.' I may be a little submissive at first but I'll be kissing you in seconds! The other puppies are jealous of me because I have beautiful wavy fur; they keep asking who my stylist is. They don't believe it's all natural! The staff also like to tell everyone I am the sweetest and silliest girl.. I wish I could speak 'hooman!' Anyways, if you are looking for a best friend who will always be there for you to give you lots of hugs, call Helping Paws so you can meet me!
