Pet of the Week: Raisin

Hello! It's me, Raisin. You might remember me from a couple weeks ago. I am a Heeler mix, and a little over one year old. I came in with my four puppies at the end of August. I was happily adopted almost a month later, but sadly was returned to the shelter after a month of being home, due to my owner's health. I am so ready for my forever home! I am a very energetic girl and would like a home that is the same. I have so much fun running and bounding like a cheetah in the yard! Being outside, playing, getting attention, and keeping my brain active are my favorite things. You may have heard that Heelers enjoy having a job to do, well I follow that Heeler rule! "A job," can mean just keeping me busy with you; you will not have to find me a nine to five. Let's go on a hike! Let's play games where you hide my toy, and I have to find it! Let's run! I am great at going potty outside, and I know "sit." I am working on my leash skills with the staff. I love people and am quite outgoing. When it comes to other dogs, I am a bit of a picky princess, but that is also something that can be worked on. I recently took a walk with dogs Lawson and Piper, and it went well. I seem to do better with males and dogs that are go with the flow. If you are interested in meeting me, call Helping Paws!!
